One of the lovely spots in Granada is SALOBREÑA. It has a natural landscape that befits a relaxing holiday. Its hilltop location comes with an ancient Moorish castle remains amongst the fertile sugar cane fields of today.
The town of Salobrena is only 2 kilometers from the lovely beach and warm sea waters. There is little development happening at and around Salobrena which maintains the beach’s beauty. The natural beauty of the town’s surroundings spans far and wide to please the eye.
One of the uniqueness at Salobrena is its black sandy beach. It is soft and clean that makes it enjoyable for all.
Accessibility
Salobrena is growing popular as a holiday resort for its quaint black sandy beaches and unadulterated surroundings. Its easy accessibility from around Spain through its efficient local public buses makes Salobrena a preferred choice for many tourists.
The frequent buses plying the town bring in flocks of tourists even for a weekend escapade. These stop at Plaza de Goya with a nearby turismo or tourist center which allows tourists to secure the necessary information on their holiday weekend such as place of stay and gastronomy delights.
The town plaza is also an excellent meet up point for tourists and locals.
Accommodation
There is no lack of places of stay in Salobrena as there are quaint hotels near the beaches or town that would fit any tourist’s budget. Many of the places of stay are near the town; an easy walk would take one to the town center or beach.
The accommodation at Salobrena is clean and comfortable with basic amenities that would give tourists a good night’s rest. The cheap accommodation attracts more tourists to Salobrena especially in the summer. Advanced booking is usually required as more tourists are choosing Salobrena for their summer vacation.
The more adventurous can also try camping at El Sotillo campsite located near the town. Camping is also a cheaper form of accommodation with more freedom of movement while offering more adventure.
Vibrant hospitality
There are plenty of pubs, bars, restaurants and cafés at Salobrena that serve delightful local cuisine. Chiringuitos can be found along the seafront to enjoy fresh and tasty seafood at low prices.
Tapas and paella go well with a pint of cold beer while lazing around the beach or pub in the cool evening. The atmosphere is vibrant with music and social interactions where the locals extend their hospitality. No one would go hungry with the myriad of delectable cuisine available.
